The project “FUTURE@PACKAGING – New generation of machines and digital services for packaging based on new recycled/recyclable and sustainable materials” was developed over a four-year period (2022–2025) by Aetna Group S.p.A.
It was structured into 8 Implementation Objectives covering the entire value chain: from industrial research on sustainable materials to the study and subsequent experimental development of new Smart Functional Units, as well as new generations of machines, digital systems, and advanced services.
The overall results of the project take the form of multiple outputs, including methods, mechatronic solutions, software applications, and prototype machine assemblies. They also include the filing of 12 patents (several of which are associated with prototypes already developed), confirming the high level of innovation.
The results of the FUTURE@PACKAGING project demonstrate strong industrial potential. The entire platform of products and services developed is directly integrable into the Group’s product range.
The new machine families have already generated interest as product line offerings. Pilot installations have been carried out at end users in the priority sectors of Beverage, Food, and Logistics.
The patents filed protect the company’s most significant technical solutions and constitute proprietary assets that strengthen its competitive position.
