From 4 to 10 May, Dusseldorf becomes the world's trade fair capital with Interpack’s return, the event at the peak of the entire packaging industry which, in its last pre-pandemic edition - dated 2017 - had seen the participation of almost 3 thousand exhibiting companies from 55 countries and 171.000 visitors from 169 countries.

It is here where industrialists, manufacturers, experts and professionals will be able to meet and exchange views on extremely topical issues, integrating new tools to face the pressing challenges of the market. With all the world's most important companies exhibiting in 18 themed pavilions, Interpack is the most eagerly awaited sector event of 2023 and all the main players will be at the forefront to present the best of innovation, from materials to process technologies, at the service of the reference market macro-segments: food & beverage, confectionery, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, non-food and industrial goods.

In this prestigious and equally competitive context, quality, innovation and an approach to environmental issues of primary importance are the key to success for companies aiming to strengthen their market position: Aetna Group, international leader in the end-of-line packaging sector, is therefore ready with its entire team to showcase the results, potential and breadth of its solutions, the fruit of 40 years of history, research and constant technological development.

An area of over 750 square meters with coordinates Hall 13 - Stand A47 will host a vast selection of the Group's technologies capable of satisfying as many production needs by combining automation, customization, attention to the circular economy and digital integration.

Starting with an extremely high-performance, automated end-of-line, consisting of the Genesis Thunder ultra-high-speed wrapping machine, capable of guaranteeing a production output of over 200 pallets per hour with the new ARC device for automatic changeover of the wrapping reel, then complemented by the LGV Auriga shuttle, the flagship model of OCME brand laser-guided vehicles for integrated logistics management and control.

The efficiency of Robopac Machinery will be demonstrated to the public with an extremely compact, fully automated packaging and logistics line for pet-food products: starting with the Superbox 8 HD, the machine for the automatic forming of cardboard boxes, followed by the

Cobopac Pick&Place system for the automatic filling of cardboards combined with the Robotape 50 CF taping machine. For the final stages of palletizing, stabilizing and internal handling, Cobopac Pal, the Integra NN natural navigation vehicle, and Rototech CW 708 PVS, the ideal solution for the automatic stretch film wrapping of particularly unstable products, enter the field.

Robot S7, the latest-generation self-propelled packaging machine, presented to the public in two versions: one equipped with all the options including R-Connect, the technology that, in line with the Group's innovations, allows the machine to be constantly monitored and thus optimize production performance; the other equipped with the Stop&Go function for immediate stop in the presence of obstacles and automatic restart.

The proposal dedicated to green technologies is composed of two key solutions for the sector: ReCYCLE the machine for compacting and reducing the volume of packaging waste materials by up to 70%, and the new PW wrapper, a rotary table for product packaging. The latter technology uses paper as the wrapping material and is presented as one of the most exciting innovations in terms of environmental friendliness and sustainability.

As far as secondary packaging is concerned, no less than three technologies will be on show: the VP602 from Meypack, a case packer for packaging folding boxes containing coffee capsules into trays with lids; the WA20 from Sotemapack for packaging trays of food products. Above all Meypack’s FW200, a time-tested, economical stretch-film wrapper: with no shrink tunnel, it saves considerable energy and space while horizontally packaging boxes of frozen and non-frozen products for transport, featuring an “easy open" tear strip option.

The historic German company Meypack is the latest production unit to become part of the Aetna Group (in June 2022) and represents the fourth facility outside Italy after those already held in the USA, Brazil and China.

Traditional and robotic palletizing technologies under the OCME brand, synonymous with reliability, efficiency and flexibility all over the world, thanks to a success story that has lasted 67 years, will complete the machine park. All visitors will then have the opportunity to get in touch with Industry 4.0 applications for machines and plants, and to have an overview of innovative services dedicated to after-sales. A team of professionals will therefore be on hand to present in detail the suite of products for improving production efficiency and optimizing resources, a fundamental asset in which Aetna Group strongly believes by investing, in the short and long term, means and resources.

Together with the other business units, Aetna Group will therefore present itself at Interpack 2023 with solid technological skills and a network of stakeholders that is growing and becoming more and more established, as well as with the desire to satisfy its customers and once again guide the global strategies of the packaging industry.
