Aetna Group is out to conquer the USA by pursuing the "local-for-local" strategy, thanks to a collaboration with TopTier, a cutting-edge partner and market leader in simultaneous stretch film palletising and wrapping technology.
By acquiring the majority shares of TopTier, a company based in Portland (Oregon), Aetna Group increases its international leadership as a producer of packaging machines (wrapping machines for packing and packaging with stretch film, shrink wrappers, wrappers with heat-shrink film, cartoning machines and taping machines).
In fact, Aetna Group (through the brands Robopac, Robopac Sistemi, Dimac and Prasmatic) and TopTier are able to meet all production needs regarding "end-of-line" machines for the main system integrators and world-leading companies operating in the sectors of food & beverage, home & personal care, paper & tissue, pet food, pharmaceuticals and dairy.
Thanks to this operation, Aetna Group will be able to offer many benefits for its customers: the new premises in the USA will assure advantages in terms of production, sales, supply of spare parts and after-sales service.
With regard to load stabilisation and integrity, the two companies also offer the best technologies currently available on the market: the Cube Technology by Aetna Group and the modular palletising system patented by TopTier.
Hence, the premises in Portland (Oregon) are an addition to the Aetna Group USA branch of Atlanta (Georgia), thus allowing the Group to secure a very strong presence throughout the USA.
“Internationalisation and a presence on the leading world markets," according to Enrico and Valentina Aureli, managing directors of Aetna Group, "are the key elements of our development plan, along with “local-for-local” production, completion of the product range, and a technical service that is ever closer to customers. After the takeovers in Spain and Brazil, Aetna Group is consolidating its presence in a strategic market such as the USA, by integrating TopTier's expertise, technological know-how and strong presence on the market. With this operation, we will be able to supply the American market even faster, more comprehensively and efficiently."
